OUR SERVICES
Oakridge is nestled in Eastern Lane County off of Oregon Route 58, also known as Willamette Highway 18. Oakridge is a small community with a population of 3,500, with a surrounding community of just under 2,000. Oakridge Fire & EMS is a Fire Department governed under the City of Oakridge and is a combination department consisting of full-time career staff under IAFF Local 851, part-time staff and volunteers that operate under a non-profit 501(c)4. Oakridge Fire & EMS operates 2 full-time ambulances with an Ambulance Service Area (ASA) of 2,200 square miles, the largest in the county. We respond to all types of emergencies as far East as Willamette Pass Ski area, mp 61, as far west as mp 17 bordering Dexter Fire District.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
Our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team is equipped and ready to provide advanced life support and transport services to those in need. We respond to medical emergencies including heart attacks, strokes, respiratory distress, and traumatic injuries.
PUBLIC EDUCATION
We believe that prevention is key to avoiding emergencies. Our Public Education team provides training and education to individuals and groups on fire safety, emergency medical response, and disaster preparedness.
FIRE RESCUE SERVICES
Our Fire Rescue Services team is trained to respond to all types of fires, including structure fires, wildfires, and vehicle fires. We also provide rescue services for individuals who may be trapped or injured due to accidents or natural disasters.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS RESPONSE
We have a specialized team of professionals who are trained to respond to hazardous materials incidents, including chemical spills and leaks, as well as incidents involving radioactive materials or explosives.
