Oakridge Fire & EMS is a combination department that provides Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services under the City of Oakridge. Our team consists of full-time IAFF career staff, part-time staff, and volunteers that operate under a nonprofit 501(c)4. We operate 2 full-time ambulances with an Ambulance Service Area of 2,200 square miles.

About Oakridge Fire & EMS
Oakridge is nestled in Eastern Lane County off of Oregon Route 58, also known as Willamette Highway 18. Oakridge is a small community with a population of 3,500. Oakridge Fire & EMS is a Fire Department governed under the City of Oakridge. The Fire Department is a combination department consisting of full-time career staff under IAFF Local 851, part-time staff and volunteers that operate under a non-profit 501(c)4. Oakridge Fire & EMS operates 2 full-time ambulances and a 3rd out when available. Our Ambulance Service Area (ASA) is 2,200 square miles, the largest in the county, with mostly rural forested area. Our Fire Service area is the Oakridge city limits. We also work under an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with with both Hazeldell Rural Fire District and the City of Westfir to respond for all emergency calls. We respond to all types of emergency calls as far East as Willamette Pass Ski area, mp 61, as far west as mp 17 bordering Dexter Fire District. Oakridge Fire & EMS responded to almost 900 calls in 2015, with more than 700 of those being ambulance calls. This page is kept updated by the Association.

OUR AREA
We serve the City of Oakridge, City of Westfir and the unincorporated areas in the Hazeldell Rural Fire District for Fire Suppression, and our Ambulance Service Area (ASA) is 2,200 area surrounding our community encompassing the Willamette National Forest.
